This August, our first baby turned three!!! We had a birthday party in the park, with a bug theme. We played pin-the-butterfly on the flower and search for bugs in sand. We had mud pudding cupcakes with gummy worms. We were happily surprised by visits from Lisa, Roy & Susan as well as Ashley & Gregg. We were able to get formal pictures taken while Lucy is still a baby, and they turned out really well. Mandy started her student teaching at Fort Atkinson High School at the end of this month. Andy was promoted to a new position at Bruce Company, working at American Family on the East side.

July 2010

In July, we spent time getting to know our new little baby. She was so tiny, and at first refused to sleep without being held, or sometimes in the carrier. Lucy gained her weight back incredibly fast, gaining almost three pounds in three weeks. We were happy to spend time with friends and family. On July 15th, Leo and Andrea welcomed their second daughter as well, Nahla Henrietta. It will be interesting to see the four girls growing up so close together. Two weeks after Lucy was born, Willow decided she wanted to potty train; we had been waiting to give her time to adjust, but were happy to get started. Within about a month, with a lot of work, we were proud to say that Willow was fully potty trained, day and night. We still have occasional accidents, but we are happy to only have one child in diapers.
