Willow - 19 months

This month we finally mailed our New Year's letters. As Willow gets older, we just keep getting busier, though it might not be entirely her fault. Andy went to his second Epic interview, and Mandy worked on school projects. She was able to interview her Grandma about her life, which was really interesting, and we were able to visit Jeff, Ti, Cynthia, Lauralei, and the chickens. The first midterms this semester came up really fast. February 27th we were lucky to go visit Mom and Dad in Milwaukee. We picked up great used books, had a nice meal, and Willow had a great time. In March, Willow finally said her own name and started putting together two-word phrases. It's amazing how quickly she has grown. She no longer looks like a baby, but a real toddler, and she has such a personality.

After a ton of snow, we enjoyed a very cold January. Willow has really had some fun times outside playing with the snow. The weather managed to cancel two of Mandy's Friday sub jobs in a row. More of the sub jobs have been in the elementary lately. Andy spent time interviewing for jobs. We missed Obama's inauguration because Mandy took Willow to a baby group at Hyesoo's house. It was fun, but Willow is so shy, especially in big groups. Mandy started classes again, but Andy has been able watch Willow. Willow is really enjoying the extra time with Dada. Grandma and Grandpa Kuck came for dinner; it was great for us to spend time with them. Willow warmed up very quickly. We started taking Willow to library storytime. Using library books helps a lot with Willow getting tired of her own books. Andrea came down with Harlow on Saturday, January 31st. Willow was more interested in Harlow's blankie, than she was Harlow herself.
